The Butnick Building was built in 1909 when to house a billiards manufacturer. Later, the Butnick family took over to make water repellent. Over the years, the building was home to many different retail shops, restaurants and clothing manufacturers. To this day, it is still home to Seattle’s oldest bar. The murals boarding the windows are a contrast to the old and the new.
