Established in 1955, the Federal Army Navy Surplus Store is one of the oldest military surplus stores in the country. Even Covid 19 couldn’t stop them from operating. The mural on the side of their building is the only mural in this collection not related to Covid 19, but the contrast against the boarded up windows of the store amongst the many murals painted for Covid is a reminder of Seattle before the pandemic.
