Rt. 66 was America's connection from Chicago to Los Angeles.  Millions of people drove it every year. This was a time before freeways and affordable air fare, but cars were abundant and everybody wanted the freedom to drive the open road.  Hippies from The Ant Farm created this display in Amarillo, Texas, as a tribute to America, cars and modern art.  I was happy to add it to my art photography gallery.  What better car to rerpesent this era than the Cadillac.
